The IFLA Guidelines support the more active role of information and heritage institutions in libraries, archives and museums in the development of local communities and the promotion of the social and economic development of society, by providing access to information and sources of information to improve living and standards, gender equality and ensure inclusiveness, quality education and reduce inequalities.
UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a collection of 17 global goals (SDGs) with total of 169 targets that cover economic, environment and social development. They set a plan for all countries to actively engage in the creation of our world for their people. Libraries, archives and museums are key institutions for achieving goals. Over the past few years, IFLA has actively participated in the creation of the UN 2030 Agenda, advocating the inclusion of access to information, the preservation of cultural heritage, universal literacy and access to information and communication technologies (ICT) within the framework.
Aim: In accordance with the European Guidelines, the Conference aims to encourage and participate in the development of strategies for the development of libraries, archives and museums in the information society, to separate the examples of good practices in the region and in Montenegro, as well as to point out and critically present the most successful strategies and initiatives, methodologies and projects that have led to significant results and the establishment of national strategies for the digitization of cultural and scientific heritage.
The working languages of the conference are Montenegrin, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and English.
Registration fee for the conference is 20.00 €. Students do not pay registration fee. Registration fee includes participation, working material, welcome drink, refreshments during breaks and dinner. You can make a payment to the bank account 535-11-579-68 Prva Banka, with the note “for the Conference – Registration fee” (payment can also be made on the Conference day).
