Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures from Ljubljana and Mitja Močnik, Ambassador of Slovenia to Montenegro visited the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” in Cetinje on Wednesday, January 24.
Bogić Rakočević, Director of the Library, Saša Tomanović, Acting Director of the State Archives of Montenegro, and Miloš Vukanović, Assistant Director of the National Museum of Montenegro, discussed the possibilities and modalities of cooperation with them.
The Forum of Slavic Cultures is a respectable factor on the cultural map of Slovenian countries, and among their numerous projects is a collection of 100 Slavic novels. It is an international literary program that promotes Slavic literature, cooperation between Slavic cultures and enforces closer connections among Slavic writers. Montenegrin literature also has its place in the project.
Rakocevic emphasized the readiness of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” to support the presentation of this edition in Montenegro, partly or completely, as well as other projects of the Forum of Slavic Cultures related to Montenegrin literature and culture in general.
