Literary evening on the occasion of marking 25 years since the death of Mihailo Lalić will take place at the National Library “Đurđe Crnojević” in Cetinje on Wednesday, December 27 at 6pm.
Prof. Dr Tatjana Bečanović will speak about the life and work of the prominent writer and the visitors will be able to see the exhibition of literary works by Mihailo Lalić.
Mihailo Lalić was born in Trepča near Andrijevica on October 7, 1914. At the beginning of his literary work, his subject of choice was the Second World War and the geographical radius – Montenegro, while in later works he has also written about the First World War.
He has written a book of poems entitled “Stazama slobode”, published a number of books of stories and novels, among which the most famous are: “Svadba”, “Zlo proljeće”, “Lelejska gora”, “Hajka”, “Pramen tame”, “Dokle gora zazeleni” etc.
He died in Belgrade on December 30, 1992.
