The National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” organized the workshop “Media and Information Literacy – the Right to Information, Fair Use and Open Access” within the project UNESCO Participation 2016-2017 “MIL – a Strategy and Practice for Reputation” at the elementary school “Njegoš” in Cetinje on December 11. The workshop was attended by teaching staff and school management.
The atendants were introduced to the tasks of the modern library and its role in the development of society and education from the presentation given by the librarian Dragana Marković. Librarian Ivana Klać spoke about the role and importance of media literacy in schools and about the presentation of women in the media.
Within the project, a study visit to the University of Zadar was organized, to the library of the elementary school “Petar Preradović”, to the Zadar City Library, and Vesna Kovačević, a librarian of the NLM, shared positive experiences to the participants.
The library of the elementary school “Njegoš” has received a professional MIL literature and an electronic book reader as a gift.
