The Europeana Network Association annual general meeting was held at Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci in Milan on December 6. About two hundred participants from European cultural institutions attended the meeting, and representative of the National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” was digitization coordinator Zorica Sjekloća.
The motto of this year’s meeting was: The impact of culture on society – it’s a value, not a cost!
During the meeting, ten projects following the “Playbook” methodology were presented, and for the best project was selected Transcribathon from Germany for the transcription and annotation of the unique, unpublished material collected in Europeana 1914-1918.
The key activities of the Europeana Network that marked the year 2017 were presented at the meeting and plans for 2018 which was proclaimed for European Year of Cultural Heritage were announced.
The financial report for the previous year was adopted, and the attendees were introduced to the financing priorities for the following year.
