The second session of the COBISS.Net Council was held on November 30 at the premises of the Institute of Information Sciences in Maribor.
The National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević” was represented by the director Bogić Rakočević and the Head of the COBISS Center of Montenegro Vjenceslava Ševaljević. Members of the COBISS network from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Republika Srpska, Slovenia and Serbia attended the session. Ismet Ovčina, director of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was elected President of the Council.
Previous and future activities related to international development assistance for financing the COBISS.Net project were presented. All participants agreed that it is necessary to find modalities in all member states to actively engage all relevant stakeholders in order to ensure financing of this important regional project.
At the Institute of Information Sciences, which is also the Regional Centre for Library Information Systems and Current Research Information Systems within UNESCO, the participants were introduced to the news in the COBISS system, that is, to the activities planned for 2018.
The third session of the Council was scheduled for the end of 2018.
