Workers of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina have announced the possible termination of the work of this library institution, caused by the lack of basic conditions and funds for work.
They have not received their salaries since March this year, and if the authorities don’t offer them a solution, they will be forced to stop their work after almost 80 years of existence, on a symbolic date - August 25, which marks the day when the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the City Hall building was set on fire in 1992. Over 2 million books were destroyed on that occasion.
Following this information, Dragica Lompar sent the Letter of Support on behalf of the National Library of Montenegro "Đurđe Crnojević" to Aldin Huskić, president of the NULB&H Staff Council.
