The National Library of Montenegro “Đurđe Crnojević”, as the carrier of the library and information system of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Institute of Information Sciences from Maribor, is organizing COBISS DAY for the third time. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, at 11 a.m.
Dragica Lompar, MA, director of the National Library, Dragana Kažanegra Stanišić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro and Aleš Bošnjak, Ph.D., director of the Institute of Information Sciences from Maribor will speak at the opening of the COBISS Day.
In the introductory part of tomorrow's event, Mr. Vjenceslava Ševaljević, head of the COBISS Center of Montenegro, will present the development of the library and information system in Montenegro, with an emphasis on the period from 2021 to today.
The central part of the COBISS day will be dedicated to the new web applications COBISS.Cat and COBISS.Lib, which are going to be presented by Branko Kurnjek and Marko Kušar, experts from the Institute of Information Sciences. The invitation to attend was sent to professional library workers from all member libraries of the COBISS.CG system, and their number is currently 51.
Such meetings are an opportunity for Montenegrin librarians and library technicians to discuss with each other, as well as with colleagues from Slovenia, other important questions and doubts that they encounter in their daily work in the COBISS system.
