Initial Training USE OF COBISS3/CATALOGUING SOFTWARE took place from
February 19 to February 23 in Cobiss Center premises in Cetinje.
The training program consisted of the following segments:
▪️ COBISS3 basic instructions (user interface, cataloging interface user settings)
▪️ preparation for cataloguing
▪️ COMARC/B format
▪️ creating a record
▪️ temporary storage of records
▪️ entering special characters
▪️ work in the record editor (adding fields, subfields, indicators, letter conversion...)
▪️ COMARC/B manual insight
▪️ other cataloging procedures...
The course is intended for librarians (with a university degree) who
are being trained in order to obtain a license for mutual cataloging of
monographic publications (books).
The participants of the course were librarians from the Library of
the Army of Montenegro from Danilovgrad, the Library of the Faculty of
Philosophy from Nikšić, the city libraries from Podgorica, Danilovgrad
and Bar, as well as the National Library of Montenegro. There were 9
participants in total.
MA Đurđa Martinović, a licensed lecturer from the National COBISS Center of Montenegro, led the training.
